The VP Content Strategy & Development will lead a team of strategists and executive producers responsible for creating and executing programming strategies and custom creative solutions for venue owners, advertisers and various business units within PRN. We seek a dynamic, creative strategist to help us build the next generation of consumer experience in Digital-Out-of-Home. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Leads the Content Strategy & Development team, with multiple direct reports.
- Develops and drives content strategies and best practices.
- Responsible for concept thru delivery of compelling, entertaining, informative and high-quality content and advertising that meets the shopper, retailer and advertiser’s needs.
- Provides high-level creative strategy for national advertising Sales team, working with Sales to develop revenue generating creative propositions that strategically align PRN, advertiser and retailer’s needs.
- Supports Business Development, Product Development and Corporate Marketing by providing consumer experience insight that informs and/or aligns with PRN’s business models, and meets the shopper, retailer and advertiser’s programming needs.
- Provides strategic leadership to Content Partnership Team and Entertainment Sales in order to support programming strategies and maximize partnership potential, including definition and piloting programming partner opportunities.
- Accountable for the success of your designated client accounts.
- Represents Content & Creative Group to internal clients, potential business partners and the industry.
- Client-facing Content & Creative Group lead on programming, marketing and creative services projects.
- Defines project responsibilities across teams and is accountable for the success of projects.
- Oversees intra-departmental resources to ensure the timely, cost effective and high quality execution of all projects.
- Maintains and shares an informed perspective on industry trends and practices that affect PRN, our customers and partners.
- Mentors cross-departmental team members to help develop strategic skill sets and implementation of best practices, and provides input to employee annual reviews.
- Accountable for annual programming and production budgets for clients as assigned by your supervisor. Informs other department budgets by providing an annual budget plan to appropriate department heads.
- Performs other job related duties and works on special projects and pilots as needed.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: - Proven expertise in developing custom creative solutions for nationally recognized consumer brands
- Deep knowledge of brand strategy, marketing, content development and consumer experience methodologies
- Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to build compelling presentations that reflect deep industry knowledge and PRN’s current positioning
- Proven ability to lead meetings with internal teams, clients and partners, and to effectively pitch creative strategy and concepts to senior-level media, marketing and advertising professionals
- Ability to gain senior level consensus through diplomatic, informed leadership
- Exceptional writing skills required
- Experience in creative and production staff management required
- Solid television or multi-media production and post production experience required
- Working knowledge of graphic/music/animation/multi-media platforms/offline and on-line editing required
- Working knowledge of broadcast and multi-media formats
- Experience in shooting a plus
- Experience in digital compression and delivery systems helpful
- Familiarity with PC and Mac-based equipment
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills
- Must have ability to multitask and complete assignments an aggressive timeframe
- Minimum 12 years experience in media, marketing or related field
- Minimum 8 years experience managing teams of direct reports, cross-department and contract employees
- Bachelors degree or higher required
