DIRECTOR, SALES DEVELOPMENT San Francisco, CA (South of Market) PRN is a leader in the digital out-of-home industry in the U.S. and Mexico with screens in over 10,000 locations and millions of viewers every day inside Costco, Walmart, Supervalu and other major retail and restaurant locations. The Director, Sales Development provides persuasive custom, client-specific marketing materials that support our National Advertising Sales Team as well as Account Management, Content & Creative, Media Networks and other internal teams. The Director, Sales Development is responsible for developing strategy and managing implementation of marketing solutions packages including positioning and pricing; supporting sales RFP daily activity and custom proposals for key accounts and high priority initiatives; creating persuasive selling materials and effective sales resources (including PRN’s annual “Upfront” sales event).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Support PRN national ad sales to deliver annual revenue targets (across PRN media networks).
- Drive the strategy and implementation of innovative marketing solutions programs and integrated solutions to hit revenue targets (including national, regional, retailer and new networks, platform, category, etc) by collaboratively working with Media Network Account Management and Content & Creative.
- Work with Research, Sales Operations, Advertiser Services, Media Network Account Management, Content & Creative, Marketing and other internal groups to establish internal process for program development, approvals and implementation (by retailer and new networks, platform, category, etc).
- Determine positioning and pricing for marketing solution offerings (evaluate offering, audience, positioning, fair-market value, discount policy, etc) and secure approvals before sending to Finance for final approvals.
- Utilize analytical tools and research to enhance PRN’s media value and story, support sales, and identify target advertisers.
- Manage the support of daily selling activities for sales, including producing presentations and materials to support RFPs.
- Lead the development of custom solutions/proposals for key accounts and high priority initiatives with sales. Take advantage of campaign analysis, account reviews, and other client data from Advertiser Services when available.
- Develop compelling collateral, presentations and videos that dimensionalize the value of advertising on PRN’s network (including branding, retailer and new networks, platforms, categories, etc).
- Create and manage effective sales resource tools and site (including sales materials, industry information and trends, etc), as well as the annual “Upfront” sales event.
- Lead and manage the Sales Development team for improvement via new initiatives, processes, efficiencies and staff development.
- Perform other job-related duties and work on special projects as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education and Experience: - 7+ years experience in sales development, preferably in digital media-related company.
- Previous experience developing collateral and presentations that effectively close sales.
- Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business or related discipline, or equivalent work-related experience required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Extensive knowledge of advertising/marketing/media industry, metrics, and trends.
- Strong persuasive selling and positioning skills; excellent writing ability and presentation skills.
- Possesses strong sense of ownership, excellent project manager and problem solver with a clear focus on business results and demonstrated ability and desire to support national sales team with a high level of customer service.
- Exceptional multi-tasker that meets deadlines and can prioritize work and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player that works well with multiple internal departments to complete work and get positive results.
- Ability to assert leadership by example and by coaching to manage and motivate multiple direct reports.
- Research and data analysis skills and experience.
- Requires advanced PowerPoint skills.
