The Field Solutions Manager will manage the installation process of the network into new retail locations. The Field Solutions Manager is a key contributor on cross-functional project teams focused principally on the deployment of media networks in retail locations and is accountable for the Quality, Cost, Schedule, & Customer Experience associated with all deployment activities associated with assigned pilot and rollout projects to PRN’s retail customers. The Field Solutions Manager demonstrates a willingness to devise creative solutions to solve complex problems and is innovative, consistent, and contributes beyond the assigned tasks and is accountable for the quantity and quality of their work, their teamwork and internal and external customer relations, and the growth of their skills to match future requirements of the position

Duties and Accountabilities: - Drive the deployment process to ensure high quality, cost effective, on schedule rollouts of PRN In-Store systems to retail clients with emphasis on customer satisfaction
- Participate in creating, maintaining, and revising formal project plans in order to meet project requirements
- Manage the relationships with third party deployment vendors in order to maximize their effect on cost, quality, schedule, and customer experience
- Initiates and maintains regularly scheduled meetings with retailers and third party deployment vendors to monitor and communicate progress
- Manages risk and expectations, Identifies and drives resolution of problems, and follow-up to ensure desired results
- Utilizing documented project requirements as well as functional and technical specifications creates the Request for Quotes (RFQ), Statement of Work (SOW), and any other documents required to engage, qualify and select third party deployment vendors
- Utilizes PRN processes and tools to measure, track, reconcile and communicate deployment performance and recommend/justify process improvements
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives for systems, hardware, fixtures, and processes related to the deployment of PRN products
- Coordinates, schedules, and performs certification training for all third party deployment vendors prior to rollout
- Responsible for the preparation of all Purchase Orders as well as timely reconciliation and processing of labor invoicing for third party deployment vendors.
- Participates in the definition and documentation of consolidation vendor processes and requirements in order to optimize system installation efficiencies
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years project management experience involving successful deployment (full life cycle) of hardware, software or network systems.
- 2+ years hands-on experience installing computing networks in a commercial environment (retail highly desirable), including site prep/planning, Telco, electrical and cabling, hardware and software installation and setup, system testing, inventory tracking, and progress reporting.
- Knowledge of inter-networking LAN/WAN technologies.
- Experience with various audio and video distribution methods & systems.
- Experience with digital signage/media in a retail environment
- Five or more years related experience in a product development/release/deployment environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Solid project management fundamentals, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and reporting required.
- Ability to demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and to appropriately prioritize workload based upon organization or department needs.
- Effectively interface with other PRN personnel, internal and external customers as well as suppliers to meet project commitments
- Professionally represents PRN to customers at all levels and insures the highest level of customer satisfaction.
- Excellent negotiation skills required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing third party vendors/subcontractors.
- Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
- Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team and leverage additional resources as needed.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with MS Project, Access, and Visio
- Mechanical aptitude including the ability to interpret standards, specifications, procedures, drawings, etc.
- Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state and local building codes, accepted industry standards (i.e. BICSI) as well as customer safety policies. Ensure safe work practices are followed and maintain a safe work environment.
- Knowledge of Premier Retail Network’s technology platforms, in-store media networks, product offerings, capabilities and limitations in order to provide expert technical guidance on the selection and configuration of the systems and hardware that provide optimal performance.
